Noatak National Preserve

It is about 6.6 million acres perfect for wilderness backpacking, photography, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Visitors will enjoy seeing about 490,000 migrating Western Arctic caribou herd, brown bears, moose, wolves, lynx and Dall sheep. Visitors may travel through a scheduled air service from Anchorage to Kotzebue or Fairbanks to Bettles, then fly to the park with various air taxi operators. They can also travel by plane, snowmobile or dogsled during winter.
